Prescription News: Wyckoff pharmacy owner admits to
government prescription bilking scheme. TRENTON — The owner of a Wyckoff pharmacy
pleaded guilty Thursday to federal fraud charges in a scheme to bilk a government
prescription program covering postal workers for more than $28,000 in drugs
that were never requested or received. Francisco Marcos, 34, of Wyckoff, the
operator of Sicomac Pharmacy, told U.S. District Judge Anne E. Thompson that
he carried out the fraud against the Federal Employees Health Benefits program
between 2005 and 2008. During that period, Marcos admitted submitting as least
400 bogus claims for prescriptions that had not been requested by his postal
service customers and their families.
